Winter, Hollywood, and Home

Somewhat hard to believe, but people do host events during the winter in Minnesota.  After moving to Edina, Patrick began to attend local events around the Twin Cities.  Participating in a silent auction at the Children’s Theatre, he was the winner of a dinner and a play.  Still relatively new to the Twin Cities, Patrick decided to embellish his auction winning and network with some of his best colleagues, Clients, and friends.  Sooner than later, he opened his home and the date was set in the snowy and blustery month of January.  Nicky Metchnek of Create Catering was so kind to refer Patrick to me, as this party grew to a crowd of 60 guests.

After a site visit to the home and gathering general information, we proceeded with the “old Hollywood” theme.  Nothing says Hollywood like crystals, bling, feathers, red carpet, and a skytracker.  The skytracker was seen from I-394, guests enjoyed valet parking, walking the red carpet, paparazzi’s, swanky décor, and worldly cuisine from Create Catering.  One of our feature backdrops was a group of kids playing hockey on the neighborhood ice rink.  Clearing out the home and bringing in tables can chairs for the event; nothing dresses up a space like elegant floor length linens.  Simple and dramatic, I was excited to use this snowball, eyelash, and fuchsia polka dot linen from Linen Effects (just not your everyday linens).  Thank you to the Children’s Theatre for a wonderful performance!
